Privacy policy
The short version: Doggydoro doesn’t collect any personal information. There’s no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app has no server of ours to send anything to. What you do in the app stays on your iPhone.
This policy covers the Doggydoro app for iPhone and this website, doggydoro.app. Doggydoro is made by Garvin Bulkin in Australia (“we”, “us”). If anything here is unclear, write to hello@doggydoro.app.
What stays on your phone
Your focus sessions, tasks, stats, streak, room, collection, bones and settings are stored in the app’s own storage on your iPhone. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
iCloud
Doggydoro doesn’t sync your data through iCloud yet. Your iPhone’s own backups (to iCloud or a computer) include the app’s data the way they include any app’s, under your control and Apple’s policies. If a future version adds sync, it will use your own private iCloud account, and this policy will say so before it ships.
App blocking and Screen Time
Blocking uses Apple’s Screen Time (the Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks) on your own iPhone, for focus sessions you start yourself. It isn’t a parental-control feature and involves no one else’s device.
- When you choose apps, you do it in Apple’s own picker. Doggydoro receives only sealed tokens that stand for those apps. It can’t read app names or identifiers, and doesn’t try to.
- Those tokens, and your Bedtime Lock schedule, are stored in the app’s own storage on your iPhone.
- Shields are applied and removed on your iPhone. Nothing about what you block is ever sent anywhere.
Notifications
Focus alarms and “session ended” notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone. There’s no notification server, and you can turn them off at any time in the app or in your iPhone’s Settings.
Purchases
Doggydoro Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information. The app checks what you’ve bought with Apple’s StoreKit, on your iPhone. Apple’s privacy policy covers the App Store.
Crash reports
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregate figures about the app. They don’t identify you, and we use them only to fix problems. You can change this in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, keep it only as long as the conversation needs, and delete it sooner if you ask.
This website
doggydoro.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts; its fonts and images are served from the site itself. It’s hosted by Vercel, which processes standard request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site, under Vercel’s privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting data
We don’t hold your app data, so there’s nothing on our side to keep or delete. To remove everything, delete the app; older copies in your iPhone’s backups go when those backups do. Emails you’ve sent us are deleted on request.
Children
Doggydoro is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. In practice that’s only ever emails you’ve sent us. Write to hello@doggydoro.app and we’ll answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the app does with information, we’ll say so in the app’s update notes too.
